Personnel

Quantic employees include engineers, technicians, analysts, and support personnel.  A brief listing of our employees' experience is presented below:

Michael F. Kolesar- President and Senior Engineer
BS in Civil Engineering, University of Virginia. One year in ship design at Newport News Shipbuilding; ten years as deck officer and engineer with National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration; six years ownership of steel boat building company; three years as senior engineer with Halifax Engineering, Inc. working on technical manuals, reliability engineering and test plans and programs. Twenty years managing overall affairs of Quantic.

Kevin L. Schenck- Senior Engineer and VP of Operations
BS in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University. Mechanical experience on offshore platforms. Prepared technical manuals for Schat Watercraft davits and boats for T-AGS 45 at Avondale;  program manager for logistics effort for the YFB 92-93 ferries built at Bender; program manager for technical manuals for Coastal Buoy Tender (WLM) at Marinette Marine Corp.; program manager for logistics effort for conversion of TAK-3015 USNS Harry L. Martin for Strategic Sealift for MSC; program manager for configuration management of Amphibious Bulk Liquid Transfer System at Appleton Marine; former program manager for logistics work for the Great Lakes Icebreaker under construction at Marinette Marine Corporation. Presently running Quantic's Joint High Speed Vessel contract with Austal USA.  A Quantic employee since 1991.

Joseph L. Pospisil - Senior Analyst
BS in Marine Transportation, minor in Oceanography from United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA), Kings Point, N.Y. Sixteen years of documented progressively responsible management experience as Master, Chief Officer, Second and Third Officer on U.S. Merchant Marine vessels. Nine years of Project Manager/Systems Analyst experience.  Program manager for logistics work on the Improved Navy Lighterage System (INLS).  Presently working on ILS support for DDG 1000 work for The Entwistle Company, and program manager for for Quantic's ILS contract with Marinette for the Alaska Region Research Vessel.  A Quantic employee since 1991.

Tommy Oliver- Senior Draftsman/Illustrator
Twelve years on commercial fishing vessels; 18 years in commercial plumbing; 18 years drafting and illustrating;  Quantic lead draftsman/illustrator since 1994.

Tony Laconte- Engineering Technician
AS in Marine Propulsion Technology from Gulf Coast Community College.  Twenty two years in the Navy in various engine rooms; six years as mechanic in boat yards and industry.  Presently lead RCM technician on various programs, and preparing the maintenance program for the JHSV.  A
Quantic employee since 2002.

Mike Raffield- Engineering Technician
Twenty five years experience on fishing and oil field vessels as Captain.  Program manager for tech manuals and training on the Staten Island Ferry built at Marinette Marine.  Program manager for the FDNY Fireboats being built at Eastern Shipbuilding Group.  Presently preparing the training program for the JHSV at Austal.  A Quantic employee since 2002.

Mike Franck- Engineering Technician
Four years in the Coast Guard; 26 years in the HVAC business.  RCM technician on various projects.  A Quantic employee since 2004.

Rick Braun- Engineering Technician
Two years as engineman in Coast Guard; 17 years as a diesel mechanic with various companies.  RCM technician and technical writer on various projects. presently working on the Engineer's Operating Manual for the JHSV. 
A Quantic employee since 1998.

Rachel Rhea- Office Manager
Associate of arts in accounting form Gulf Coast Community College.  She's also going to Florida State University at night pursuing her accounting degree.  A Quantic employee 2004.

Mike Neely- Engineering Technician
Twenty five years in Navy engine rooms, retired as LCDR.  Extensive experience in all aspects of ship propulsion and auxiliary machinery and with small boats.  Prepared a technical manual and other logistics for the WMEC Crane for Appleton Marine.  P
resently working on ILS support for DDG 1000 work for The Entwistle Company   A Quantic  employee since 2008.

Mary Bonnin- Engineering Technician
Twenty years in diving and salvage for the US Navy.  Retired US Navy Master Chief Diver.  NAVSEA certified RCM Technician.  Expertise in Navy 3M system. 
Presently working on ILS support for DDG 1000 work for Walz and Krenzer.  A Quantic  employee since early 2009.

Robert Williams- Engineering Technician
Twenty years as an electrician in US Navy.  Served on nuclear attack boats.  Industrial electrical experience on AC variable frequency drives.  Presently working on DDG 1000 Steering Gear logistics and the JHSV Engineer's Operating Manual..  A Quantic  employee since early 2009.

Angie Durham- Document Controller
Twenty two years of administrative and document control experience.  Presently Quantic's document controller and scheduler.  A Quantic employee since 2009.

Britt Andrews- Draftsman/Illustrator
Britt just joined us in January and has taken on the drafting load.  Previously he worked for L-3 and Jensen USA.  He works on all our projects.

Adam Mills- Electrical Engineer
Adam joined us in March 2010 after graduating from the University of Florida Engineering School.  He's working on various projects including Electrocatalytic machinery on various Navy ships.

Jo Ann Davis- Engineer
Graduated from Kings Point in 1981 with a degree in Marine Engineering.  She then sailed in the engine room for five years for Exxon.  Next she worked at the Naval Coastal System Station in Panama City as a design engineer, and then taught mathematics in the Bay County Schools.  She's now working on the JHSV project.  Jo Ann just joined us two moths ago.

Mike Gordon- Engineer.
Graduate of the Calhoun MEBA Engineering School. BS in Applied Science Technology from Thomas Edison State College.  28 years in the Merchant Marine; sailed as First Assistant Engineer, steam, gas turbine and diesel, any horsepower.  Mike's working on the JHSV program.  Mike joined us two months ago.
